REACh/MRSL-ZHDC Compliance

ICOS has been awarded ISO 14001:2015 certification for its environmental management system (SGA), showing respect of the environmental legislation requirements in the production cycle.

The company operates in accordance with the REACh Regulation, which aims to improve the knowledge, dangers and risks arising from the use of chemicals purchased for industrial production.

Each product promoted conforms to the ZDHC programme and respects the limits established in the updated List of Restrictive Substances in MRSL production. This programme is designed to eliminate the possibility of using some hazardous chemicals in the global production cycle of textiles, leather and footwear.


Energy and sustainability

Nuova ICOS invests human and financial resources in implementing systems and tanning techniques of new concept that can optimize machining times and reduce energy consumption. For this purpose, Nuova ICOS periodically updates the machines used in the production and uses energy-efficient or natural ventilation lighting systems.

In this respect, Nuova ICOS has adopted criteria that have allowed to improve the production environment and to reduce the use of water required in the leather processing.
